Apostle David L. Hysten Jr.
Apostle David L. Hysten Jr. is a devoted servant of God whose life reflects a deep commitment to faith, family, and kingdom purpose. Raised in a Holy Ghost–filled family, he was grounded in the truth and power of God’s Word from an early age. Surrounded by a rich spiritual heritage, Apostle Hysten developed a passion for ministry that would later unfold in remarkable ways.
Gifted musically, he began serving in ministry through playing the drums and keyboard, traveling and ministering alongside churches and music groups throughout the United States. His excellence and dedication in music opened many doors, yet he always sensed a deeper calling within his spirit. God had placed something greater inside of him—an assignment that extended beyond instruments and into the proclamation of the Gospel.
That calling became clear one Sunday morning when he was given the opportunity to share the Word of God. In that moment, Apostle Hysten embraced his divine purpose to teach and preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. From that day forward, he committed himself fully to the work of ministry, allowing God to shape, refine, and elevate him for greater impact.
Throughout his journey, Apostle Hysten faithfully served under anointed and respected leaders, including the late Bishop M.P. Jackson Sr., Bishop Samuel Abbott, Bishop T.L. Hood, and Superintendent Walter O. Sherrod, among others. He is also honored to carry the legacy of his uncle, the late Pastor Aaron Arthur. Through these spiritual coverings, he grew in wisdom, character, and anointing, living out the truth of Proverbs 27:17: “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.”
In 2019, alongside his wife, Lady Mary Hysten, Apostle Hysten launched a couples ministry designed to strengthen and restore relationships. With transparency, love, and biblical wisdom, they reached and impacted over 1,000 individuals through platforms such as Facebook and YouTube, helping couples navigate both goals and challenges in their relationships.
As their ministry continued to grow, God placed a greater vision in their hearts—to establish a church that would reach beyond the walls and into the community. While Lady Hysten ministered in praise and worship, God gave Apostle Hysten the name Power Outreach Ministries. In May 2021, that vision became a reality. The ministry was birthed through a powerful act of service—a back-to-school giveaway that blessed over 300 children and families.
Driven by compassion and obedience to Matthew 25:35, they expanded their outreach efforts by opening a free clothing bank and food pantry, meeting both the natural and spiritual needs of the people. Their ministry continues to reflect the love of Christ in tangible ways.
In June 2022, Apostle Hysten and Lady Mary relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, where they continue to serve, lead, and impact lives throughout the community. With a heart for people and a passion for truth, Apostle Hysten remains committed to advancing God’s kingdom.
On February 15, 2026, Apostle David L. Hysten Jr. was officially affirmed as an Apostle, marking a significant milestone in his spiritual journey. Today, he continues to walk boldly in his calling—preaching, teaching, and demonstrating the love and power of Jesus Christ with joy, humility, and unwavering faith.

Pastor Mary J. Hysten
Pastor Mary Hysten is a devoted servant of God with over 30 years of ministry experience. She was officially ordained in 2012 under the leadership of Dr. T.L. Hood. Throughout her journey, Pastor Mary has faithfully served in countless ministries, using her God-given gifts in music, leadership, and mentorship to impact lives around the world. Her passion for worship led to the release of her EP Driven and her full-length CD Dry Place, both of which have ministered healing and hope to many.
Alongside her husband, Apostle David L. Hysten Jr.,Pastor Mary co-founded a couples ministry in 2019. Together, they tackled real-life issues and relationship goals, reaching over 1,000 individuals through platforms like Facebook and YouTube. Their heart for families and marriages reflects the Word in Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NIV): “Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”
While serving faithfully in other ministries, God began stirring something greater in their hearts. During a powerful worship service led by Pastor Mary, the Lord revealed the name Power Outreach Ministries (P.O.M.) to Apostle Hysten. In May 2022, their vision came to life. P.O.M. launched with a community-focused back-to-school giveaway, blessing over 300 children and families. Since then, they’ve expanded their outreach to include a free clothing bank and a food pantry, embodying Matthew 25:35—“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink.”
Today, Pastor Mary Hysten continues to serve as the lead praise and worship leader and helps oversee ministry leadership. Her unwavering commitment, loving spirit, and heart for service continue to uplift and guide the Power Outreach Ministries family. Through every song, outreach, and act of kindness, Lady Mary lives out 1 Peter 4:10: “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace.”

Minister Delores Kimble
Minister Delores is a devoted servant of God who has walked faithfully in her calling for over 13 years. Her journey in ministry began with a heart full of surrender and a passion to serve. She preached her first sermon on September 9, 2012, a powerful moment that marked the beginning of her public ministry. She was officially ordained on September 26, 2021, affirming the anointing and calling that God had already placed on her life.
In 2023, Minister Delores joined the family at Power Outreach Ministries under the dynamic leadership of Pastor David Hysten Jr. and Lady Mary Hysten Since joining, she has served faithfully in various areas of the church, embodying the spirit of servanthood described in Matthew 23:11, “The greatest among you will be your servant.”
Currently, Minister Delores serves as the head of the Hospitality Ministry, where she ensures that every person who enters the church feels the warmth and love of Christ. With grace and compassion, she leads by example, fulfilling Romans 12:13, “Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” Her heart for people is evident in the way she welcomes, encourages, and uplifts others.
In addition to her hospitality role, Minister Delores is also one of the church facilitators, using her gift of teaching and wisdom to guide others in growing their faith. As a facilitator, she lives out 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
With humility and unwavering faith, Minister Delores continues to be a beacon of light at Power Outreach Ministries. Her life reflects Galatians 6:9, “Let us not grow weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” She remains committed to serving God, loving His people, and advancing the Kingdom—one act of kindness, one word of encouragement, and one soul at a time.

EJ Dixon
EJ Dixon joyfully joined Power Outreach Ministries AZ on October 12, 2025, and has been faithfully serving as a dedicated drummer ever since. With a heart full of love for God and a passion for worship, EJ brings both excellence and sincerity to every service. His consistency, humility, and willingness to serve have been a true blessing to the ministry. Through his gift, he helps create an atmosphere where the presence of God can move freely, uplifting and inspiring others. EJ’s commitment and joyful spirit reflect his devotion, making him a valued and cherished part of the Power Outreach Ministries family.

Tachai M. Hayes joyfully joined Power Outreach Ministries AZ on June 16, 2024, and has been faithfully serving in the Social Media Department with excellence and dedication. From the very beginning, Tachai has demonstrated a heart committed to advancing the Kingdom of God through creativity, consistency, and a spirit of servanthood.
With a passion for communication and outreach, Tachai plays a vital role in ensuring the ministry’s message reaches beyond the four walls and into the hearts of people both near and far. Through engaging content, uplifting posts, and timely updates, Tachai helps share the love of Jesus Christ with a broader audience, making a lasting impact in the digital space.
Their faithfulness, reliability, and attention to detail have been a true blessing to Power Outreach Ministries. Tachai’s work not only supports the vision of the ministry but also helps draw souls closer to God.
